Ottawa, April 8th, 2019 – The Fédération de la jeunesse canadienne-française (French Canadian Youth Federation) is proud to launch its Request for proposals in preparation for the 9th Jeux de la francophonie canadienne (Canadian Francophone Games), which will be held in the summer of 2023.
The Canadian Francophone Games are a national triennial event that fosters connections by presenting a unique program of 13 disciplines combining the arts, cooperation, leadership and sports. They showcase more than a thousand young aged 14 to 18 from across Canada. Hundreds of volunteers work behind the scenes, developing their skills, and creating a festive atmosphere in their host community. The Canadian Francophone Games provide youth with cultural pride, self-confidence and leadership abilities in a friendly, competitive setting.
Cities or organizations that wish to submit their application can obtain a copy of the Bid Guide and related documents by contacting Caroline Bujold, National Coordinator, at 780.463.0888, at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by visiting www.jeuxfc.ca under the “Prochaine édition JeuxFC” heading. (Please note that official documents are only available in French, as les Jeux de la francophonie canadienne is a francophone event, but that an English summary is available). A letter of intent must be submitted before May 30th, 2019, and bids will be accepted until September 30th, 2019. The host committee will be announced early 2020.
