Ottawa, March 27th, 2020 – The Fédération de la jeunesse canadienne-française (French-Canadian Youth Federation – “FJCF“) and the local Organizing Committee (OC) of the 8th edition of the Canadian Francophone Games (Victoria 2020 CFGames) decided today that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CFGames will not take place in July 2020.
The FJCF and Victoria 2020 OC are working on options to hold the event in 2021. Official dates are to be confirmed later this year. After careful analysis, the best possible option is to postpone the event. Our concern for the health and safety of those involved, as well as the participants, is of great importance.
