Gatineau, Thursday July 24th – The first day of the Canadian Francophone Games in Gatineau was a great success. Sponsored by TVA and the Metro Plus Marché Kelly, the opening ceremony which took place last night at the Place de la Cité marked the official launch of the five days of “French” celebrations. The young participants proudly displayed their colors during the delegations’ parade. The atmosphere was up and all artists brilliantly highlighted the Francophonie!
It is under sunny skies that our participants begin this second day. Competitions get under way for some disciplines and continue for others. The percussionist Mélissa Lavergne will host at 2:30 pm the great cooperative activity presented by Reno Depot at the Place de la Cité. This activity will be open to the public and will bring all the delegations together to create a collective piece.
